    Where is your Brokeback Mountain?

Finally, I watched this movie, after hearing so much about it.  I try not to remember what other people said about it. I want to see it though by my own raw eyes. Non-deniable that Brokeback Mountain is a beautiful place. A place that is in the middle of nowhere; a place that is filled with running water, humming birds, ever-lasting views and sheep as white as the clouds. It is a place for love, for stories and for memories. Everything is perfect, the way they laugh, they sing, the herd, they fight…the only thing is that they are both male.

In the time and society, which doesn’t accept gays, Jack and Ennis had to hide they relationship and move on with their lives, trying to fit. They both got married and had children, but the deep they bury the love for each other, the larger the explosion is. They are both victims of the time because they sacrificed the love and passion, just to please the rest the community and to look like “normal”. Well, their wives are victims too, I think. The man that you have been sleeping with and having kids with, is not even interested in a female body, what kind of lie is it? Day by day, year by year, there was no happily ever after, for any of them…All Ennis could grab was the shirt, the bloodstained shirt. To remind him Jack’s love, his regretless love.

In most of the places, today, gays and lesbians are still being viewed as different, weird, disgusting and unaccepted. I don’t see why their love is forbidden and punished. Should they lie to themselves and hiding in the closet forever? Should they give up their sexuality so that other people feel more comfortable? Is that not cheating? A lie to their partners? Husband and wives? Is that not a betrayal? To they lovers? Isn’t that true that we are all looking for soul mate? If so, does id matter what kind of body the soul lives in? A life time liar is better that being a gay?

I still think Jack and Ennis are very lucky. Even though they didn’t end up which their true love, they didn’t die in each other’s arms, they still know who is the one, they know who is the one that worth everything, they know that is love, what is passion and they had tasted it, they used up their lives to trade a day to go back to Brokeback mountain, just to be together, to stop the time and enjoy the air called love.

Maybe all of us have a place in mind that is so special, right? Do you have one? That one place which carries a story, a person, a piece of our lives. A place that when people mention its name, our hearts ache. So, do you have such a place in mind? Where is your Brokeback Mountain?

    Holiday movies

I have been watching movies, non-stop, my eyes are popping out and I am continuing, so, here is a little summary:

Mr.& Mrs Smith: The story is not that great. However, when you put the most attractive man and the sexiest woman together, you get entertainment and please don’t ask why they are engaged. For God’s sakes, please try not to fall in love with someone like this after shooting a movie together, half naked. Overall, 90%.

Hotel Rwanda: My God, what can I say. It is rather shocking. We don’t usually know or want to know there is such a place and there are such people. After watching thi s movie, you keep asking yourself, what can I do to make a difference, can I really do something, or am I just so small and helpless that I cannot do anything about it? Powerful and sad story. Overall: 85%

Hitch: For people like me, who doesn’t believe in “forever” or” happily ever after”, this is a very good and educational movie to watch. It gives you this hope that somewhere someday, you will fall in love like crazy and there is someone is looking for love just like you, and all your silliness and childish will be understood and appreciated. Well, at least n the movie. Overall, 90%.

Sin City: Ohhhhhh, scary one. I don’t really enjoy it, well, I mean , how do you enjoy it. It is full of blood and this yellowish thing and guns, and died bodies and ….The story is not really 100% matched, and it’s just too, let’s say, current. Anyway, it is piece of art because it looks just like the comic book and Gina liked it. Overall, 75%.

The house of flying daggers: If you haven’t seen it, then don’t bother. It is just “mission impossible” in Chinese format and “ Wujian dao” in past tense…What the hell is that? Well, I would say, Ziyi is a good dancer, that’s all. Overall, 65%

The aviator: Good story, great history, professional director, beautiful actresses and Leonard. A man who goes after his dream and never give up, making history and changing the world, and that is very very sexy. Overall, 80%.

Finding Neverland: Picked up this movie because of Jonny Depp and He is the only highlight of the movie. I understand the point of this movie and what the director is trying to achieve, but it’s just not strong enough. Too weak to convince me that believing or imagining can change everything. Nice dog. Overall, 70% .

Hostage: Not bad. It entertained me a bit at least; my heart was on the line for a while. The long hair guy is really creepy and he is a freak. Demi’s ex-husband is ok too , except I have his image from “sin city” and can’t get out of it…The story is not that great, it’s rather simple and not that believable, but the house was great and the family love is great. Overall, 80%.

Alexander: A very long historical movie, with twisted love, desired power and endless war. Nicely done. Everyone tried hard to have this accent and with all the costumes plus thoughtful details, times had been turned back. A mother does have huge influence on her son, doesn’t she? Damn it, Angelina Jolie is soooooo sexy.Overall, 90%.

Cold Mountain:  Simply non-sense. Who the hell is going to wait for some guy which you don’t even know, just had one kiss, one kiss with? Who the hell is going to carry a picture of a girl who you don’t even know, just had one kiss, one kiss with? Where did this Ruby come from and why is she in the story? Very phony. What’s the point? Besides, everyone is dead at the end. Overall, 60%.
